Steve Jackson passed away on Friday, June 16th, under tragic circumstances. Steve was instrumental in the operation of FC Sonora for over a decade and was one of their biggest and best volunteers acting as the director of coaching, tournament director, trainer, and coach. Prior to this, he coached for many years as a club coach at Tucson Soccer Academy and Tanque Verde Soccer Club. He also was a high school coach in Tucson. Steve was a lifelong learner and teacher of the beautiful game. He was our friend and mentor. Steve will be missed and live on in our memories.
