Help with refugee boys

by Michael Worden 49 days ago

Hello all, My name is Mike Worden and I conduct an after school program for refugee boys and girls with a member of the International Refugee Association. We try to normalize and or provide them support when they arrive to high school. One of the commonalities that the young men share is that they can play soccer. Unfortunately, the families have only been in the U.S. for a short period of time and financially they are not quite ready for club soccer. It would be greatly appreciated if any of you in the Tucson Soccer Community are able to provide any support for them. There are six boys right now that I have gotten to tryouts. Palo Verde High School is expecting to double the number of refugee students next year. If you are able to donate any equipment items please contact me at 307 1750 or email at cornhusk32@cox.net. If you are able to provide a cash donation for fees please send them to Freedom Soccer Club, care of refugee players or to Palo Verde High School (1302 S. Avineda Vega, "85710") care of the Palo Verde Foundation. Respectfully Mike Worden

Michael - How old are these kids? Are there any in the U8-U11 age group? If so, let me know - we may be able to get them involved.
Sorry Greg for not getting back to you sooner. The boys that I have contact with are high school age and older.
